Hasbro Scores Again April 2, 2004 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Hasbro has struck gold with thier re-release of the G1 Transformers toys. These timeless toys capture the inncer child of the now older people that remember the cartoon, and the first time these toys were realeased. They also open the world of Transformers: G1 to a whole new audience. The Dirge toy is just as timeless a classic as the others in the series, with the heft and duribilty of die-cast metal and study construction it makes for alot of play value. The one draw back of this toy, is something that plauges the G1 line as far as younger children are concerned. There are many peices from the wings, fists, and even the front landing gear that can easily be lost. That can easly be avoided with proper precaution, but it deserves to be mentioned. All in all a wonderful toy, and a wonderful collection to my Transformers Collection that I can't wait to share with my 4 year old when he is old enough to appreciate it.

Well generation one is still going strong 20 years later. with this rerelease we have 4 out of the six seeker jets just need the other two coneheads to complete the evil squandron of jets. a+ keep up finding those old molds to keep bringing us our old toys.
Can't go wrong with the Seeker jets March 24, 2004 Dirge, essentially a redeco of the original seeker jets of Starscream, Thundercracker, and Skywarp. These guys were always popular when we were kids and Hasbro has recreated them just as you remember. Dirge and the other "coneheads" (Ramjet and Thrust) have slight modifications such as different wing types and missles. Just enough variation to keep them interesting and different. The one I got was well constructed, tight joints and just as I remembered him as a kid.
A must have March 25, 2004 Dirge is a must have!!!If were are to see more of different reissues, please spread the word. Don't let it die out like the He-man.
One cool Decepticon March 30, 2004 C. Kukla (Ankeny, IA USA) I really like the Dirge figure, actually i like all the Decepticon jets. Hasbro needs to release Thrust and Ramjet soon. My one major complaint is that they are releasing a lot more autobots compared to decepticons. I know there are more autobots total but i would like to see more bad guys! Back to Dirge though. This toy is an exact replica of the original, they didn't even change the weapons on this one. He is easy to transform and durable. I would definately buy this one.
