My daughter got this from Santa and loved it. It's quite difficult to get the arrows to stick to the target but the blow pipe that comes with the set is excellent. All materials are made from plastic and are quite durable, great fun had by all both young and old.

We went between Toys to Grow On, where I initially found an archery set, and Amazon to compare prices and products. Pretty close. Overall the set has been tremendously enjoyable for my son who's just getting into Cub Scouts and wants to practice his archery skills. You really have to pull back on the bow and give the arrow quite a bit of tension to give the arrow enough momentum to stick to the target. Once he or she realizes this you'll have hours of fun. I think "santa" had more fun putting under the Christmas tree! Maxi Archery Set

We bought this archery set for our 7 year old nephew for Christmas. He loved it. We liked it because he can actually shoot the arrows from the bow, which isn't the case for all bow & arrow sets. He also really liked getting the target. We also bought the additional six bows. Shipping was fast.
great until it breaks May 24, 2009
The bow and arrows worked great same with the blow darts. The problem is the string comes off then the cheap plastic arrows break. Then the target usually breaks. So what I am saying is if you are planning to have this for a long time don't buy it.

This is a really cute archery set and my six year-old little boy loves it. We had trouble, though, getting enough tension in the string on the bow. We had to adjust the string repeatedly so it would be tight enough to shoot the arrows. It's better now, but I expect repeat adjustments since it loosens up when he plays with it.
